I often have my laptop open, knowing I have many inspirational topics to write about. Yet the words don’t flow. Every new sentence feels like breaking through an invisible mental wall.

On other days, I can effortlessly craft four high-quality articles in 24 hours. The words spill out effortlessly on the screen, in perfect synch with my emotions.

What’s the difference between these two days?

Do I give in to my mental resistance and close the laptop when I don’t feel like writing?

Or is there a workaround to get into the perfect emotional state to write?

Follow the nostalgia

We get nostalgic for different times in our lives for different reasons. Sometimes, it’s for the deep human connections. Other times, it’s because we felt aligned with our authentic selves.

Lately, I’ve been getting nostalgic for my stay in Tbilisi, Georgia in January 2022. I remember being in a restaurant and the piano player started speaking to me in Russian.
