I’m in Caffeine Withdrawal. I’m Already in a Flow State.
Over the past few months, I’ve had seemingly no energy. While there may be a multitude of factors making me tired, I recall having the best energy of my life when I previously went off coffee in 2017. This is the main article I wrote about my 2017 caffeine withdrawal experience:

My Current Withdrawal
Fast forward to 2022, coffee is not doing anything for me anymore. My morning cup is just a transaction, and not an experience. I go from being half asleep to slightly groggy, and struggle to get any meaningful work done. I decided it was time to withdraw from coffee.
A few days ago, I went from 1 cup of coffee per day to 1/2 cup, 1/4 cup, and then zero. This resulted in far less headaches than going cold turkey. My natural energy is starting to come back. I’m less anxious about the future, and way more focused. As I’m writing this article, I’m in a flow state, and this article seems to be writing itself.
I’m Grumpy
The only difficult part of caffeine withdrawal is making pleasantries. I can live with being sleepy for a few days, but small talk makes me want to run out of the room. When I’m high on coffee…
