I'm very optimistic about the future of apps, because most learners I come across don't want to go through the painstaking effort of finding their own learning resources. To you and I and other seasoned language learners, exploring various resources is part of the fun. But some people just want all the steps clearly laid out in front of them. I hope as technology improves, apps can help people who want clearly defined study plans.
