When I correct English speakers texts for fun (I'm not a teacher), I often have to look up advanced English words that aren't commonly used anymore.

I also taught some of my Finnish teachers new Finnish words, which were highly specialized architecture terms I looked up in Finnish.

So we're all teaching each other regardless of native speaking ability.
